The town superintendent of highways is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of town highways and bridges along with the removal of obstructions caused by brush and snow.  The highway superintendent is responsible for the employment and management of highway department employees at set rates of compensation and within the appropriations authorized by the town board.
