Is responsible for administering and enforcing the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.  Provides for the coordination of all activities relevant to ensuring compliance with the appropriate laws, codes, rules and regulations within the town.  Issues, denies or revokes building permits and certificates of occupancy.  Inspects building and structures for compliance.  Maintains accurate records of all transactions and activities.  Possession of a valid New York State "Basic Code Enforcement Training" certification is required.
